About the trip

I’m setting sail from Sweden in April 2026 and slowly making my way back to the west coast of Canada — with lots of stops (and good company) along the way.

I'd love for friends to join me on parts of the journey, whether for a short visit, some casual sailing, or a longer passage.

The route will take me through Northern Europe, down the west coast of Spain and Portugal, and into the Mediterranean, where I’ll be cruising until the end of November. From there, I’ll join around 200 other boats crossing the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to Saint Lucia.

After that, I plan to explore the Caribbean, transit the Panama Canal, sail partway across the Pacific, visit the Galapagos, Marquesas, Hawaii, up to Alaska, and finally make my way down the west coast to Victoria, BC.

About the boat

Stani is a Hallberg-Rassy 44 — a Swedish-built cruising yacht designed for offshore passages, comfort aboard, and spending long stretches of time at sea.
