Are you scared?

How long is this trip going to take?

Who knows! Maybe 2 years?

How many people can sleep on the boat?

8 people. 2 people in the front v-berth, 2 people in the bunks, 2 people mid-ship, and 2 people in the aft cabin.

What should I consider when packing?

  • Bedding is provided (sheets, blankets, pillows, towels)
  • Try to avoid packing your things in a bulky, non-collapsible bag. There’s limited space on the boat, so it’s helpful to pack your stuff in a collapsible bag like a duffle. Otherwise, you might be sleeping with your bag 🤪. Another option is storing your hard luggage on shore somewhere. We'll figure it out though, so don't worry about it too much.

What should I bring?

  • Toiletries, medication, anti-seasickness meds, etc.
  • Something warm (it can be a little chilly when windy)
  • Something not warm (it can get hot when not windy)
  • A bathing suit
  • Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen (lots of extra sun reflection on the water)
  • Shore shoes (for walking around a town, or going for a hike on an island)
  • Optional: Boat shoes (Something clean that doesn’t scuff the deck. You can go barefoot.)

Eric asks: How can I prepare?

You really don't need to prepare. When you first come aboard, I'll run through everything you need to know.

But, if you really want, here are some knots that I use every day:
